And because knowing your measurements is only half the story, our team hand-measures every design. You'll find the garment measurements for each size on every product page, so you can compare them with your own before choosing.

Because ultimately, we want you to find the right fit the first time and feel fabulous when your St Frock order arrives.

Take the Quiz
Apple body shape illustration
Which body type are you

Apple

Characteristics

An apple can have anything from a full bust to a very full bust, a curvier bottom and fuller limbs. Shoulders are wider than your hips and your bust is the same as or larger than your shoulders or waist.

Aim

Create balance by accentuating your bust and legs while skimming over the midsection.

Choose

Choose V-neck tops, open-front cardigans, softly tailored blazers, empire-line dresses, straight-leg trousers, and flowing skirts in lightweight fabrics that skim rather than cling to the body. Look for pieces that create a vertical line through the torso and highlight beautiful features such as the neckline, shoulders, and legs.

Compatible necklines

V-Neck · Scoop · Sweetheart · Off-Shoulder · Square

Stylist tip

Try a dress worn over jeans, it lengthens the leg line and keeps the silhouette long and streamlined.

Which body type are you

Hourglass

Characteristics

Balanced bust and hip measurements with a naturally narrow, well-defined waist and shapely legs.

Aim

Highlight your narrow waist and maintain your natural, balanced proportion.

Choose

Think belted dresses, high-waisted trousers, pencil skirts, and lightweight knits or linen pieces that skim rather than hide your curves.

Compatible necklines

V-Neck · Scoop · Sweetheart · Wrap · Off-Shoulder

Stylist tip

Keep the look elongated. Skip cropped pants, they'll shorten your legs and make your waist look wider by comparison.

Which body type are you

Pear

Characteristics

Smaller upper body with fuller hips and thighs. Hips are wider than shoulders and bust.

Aim

Balance proportions, drawing attention upward, and accentuating the waist.

Choose

Look for statement tops, V-necks, lightweight jackets, cropped cardigans, and tops with interesting collars, florals, or shoulder details. Pair these with streamlined skirts and tailored pants that skim the hips. Belted dresses in fresh spring prints are particularly effective, as they highlight the waist while creating proportion between the upper and lower body.

Compatible necklines

Off-Shoulder · Boat Neck · Square · Cowl / Ruffled

Stylist tip

Follow a loose-on-top, fitted-on-bottom formula, and choose A-line or flared skirts over anything tucked and gathered at the front.

Inverted Triangle body shape illustration
Which body type are you

Inverted Triangle

Characteristics

An inverted triangle body shape has broader shoulders compared to hips, creating a V-shaped upper body. The goal when dressing is to soften the shoulders while adding volume to the lower half to create a balanced silhouette.

Aim

Balance your proportions by adding volume to your lower body.

Choose

Choose wide-leg trousers, flowing maxi skirts, and printed or textured bottoms that add volume below the waist. V-neck tops help soften broader shoulders, while belted dresses in fresh spring hues can create beautiful waist definition.

Compatible necklines

V-Neck · Scoop · Asymmetric Neckline · Halter

Stylist tip

Darker tones through the shoulders read as more flattering, and an elastic-waist pencil skirt draws the eye straight to your waist.

Rectangle body shape illustration
Which body type are you

Rectangle

Characteristics

This body shape is a straight silhouette where the bust, waist, and hips are almost the same width. The goal is to focus on defining the waist and adding in curves.

Aim

Create curves and definition, especially at the waist.

Choose

Look for belted style dresses, high-waisted trousers, wide-leg pants, and lightweight jackets that emphasize the waist. Florals, prints, embroidery, and layered pieces can add dimension and softness, while soft knits and A-line skirts help create shape.

Compatible necklines

Scoop · Sweetheart · V-Neck · Cowl / Ruffle

Stylist tip

Add ruching around the waist to soften a straight line, and reach for a boat neck or turtleneck if wide necklines aren't your thing.

Answer four quick questions, or plug in your measurements for a precise result. Either way, you'll land on the styles picked to work with your shape.

How do your shoulders compare to your hips?

Is your waist noticeably smaller than your bust and hips?

Where do you carry most of your fullness?

Check your back in the mirror. What do you see?

One more thing, if you had to pick one:

Wrap the tape all the way around for shoulders, bust, waist and hips. Measurements can be in cm or inches, just be consistent across all four.
